Spring wonderland - a vintage outfit inspired by poetry

The sun is shining, flowers are blooming, bees are rustling… it is officially spring. Marching towards the hotter months also means that you do not have to hide under big coats and furry jackets anymore - it is time to show off your outfit on the streets.

This beautiful, vivid season is linked with love and joyous adventures, and often inspires poets. These vibes are reflected in this editorial, and by the dress choice of On Slowness Founder Pink, who went on a date in a lovely Shoreditch cafe, and had a walk in Haggerston Park afterwards. Her unique, vintage style outfit evokes a modern knight’s tale, inspired by the characteristics of romantic poetry: passion, intensity, vigour, freedom, dreaminess, fantasy, longing...

The dress is from a vintage fair that Pink often visits to collect gems into her personal collection and expand Rabbit the Archivist with new pieces. Defined by reddish tones, it is made of thick cotton fabric and is decorated with abstract motives that give it a modern touch. However, the maxi length and the long sleeves resulting in a bell-shaped cut accentuate the classical, poetic side.

The details are important even when they are not visible. Thus, Pink pulled red tights and brown lace up heels on, that are matching the dress both in colour and style. So the cherry red feather headpiece, that is also a vintage gem from the 50s. You can wear it either with smart casual dresses, or on more elegant occasions.
